Fundamentally the mechanical sewing machine is very similar to other standard types. Its fundamental parts are also the same as the others. namely- needle, bobbin, shuttle, presser foot, feed dog, and armature.

Which is in stark contrast to the durability of mechanical sewing machines. In Fact you can argue that one of the primary reasons mechanical sewing machines remain a mainstay for decades is great durability and longevity.
